FESTIVAL 31 Call for proposals

Merseyside’s first official festival exploring the refugee experience, arts & culture.

Bringing together refugees and the wider communities, individuals, grassroots, small and larger organisations for a 31 day experience across the city.

Beginning 16th June, the first day of refugee week, and finishing 16th July  this programme will act as a prologue and epilogue to Liverpool One World Festival. Those of you who know about the festival may see that dates have slightly shifted- well spotted!!!

Join us in collaboration, through a wide  range of activity, events and programmes; music, exhibitions, campaigning, discussions, socials, art actions, workshops, education, awareness raising, poetry, drama, storytelling, film shows, meet & greet, living books, food & more.

We are inviting your ideas for celebration, creativity, exploration or awareness raising under the theme ‘journeys to freedom’.

FESTIVAL 31 is open to all different types of radical, less radical, exciting, of the wall, fantastical and simply simple ideas that you, your group, your organisation or school might like to put on, to be a part of the programme. These can be open to the public or for your participants/members only.

Let’s fill the 31 days together!

Open For Proposals- 1st call; if you know what you are delivering or need a bit of £ to help your activity happen read on...

Collaborate with us to create a diverse and vibrant festival across the city.

You may have an idea that doesn’t require funding. Or you might need financial support so if you do FESTIVAL 31 has a small pot of funding to share.

As limited funding is available, the festival collaborative has agreed to contribute up to £50 to each one-off activity (if you need it).

Any activities requiring funding support need to submit a proposal on the form below by 28th April.

In the interest of fairness we would like you to include a breakdown of costs, so we can best accommodate your expenses.

Notification of budget allocation will be made on 8th May.

For projects that are sure of their activity or that are requesting financial support, the proposals should be submitted by the 28th April.

VENUE
If you have a venue for your activity then great! If not and you need support with finding a venue we might be able to help you. This includes spaces for workshops and performances as well as other activity.

To be included in the printed zine and promotional calender we need your submission by 15th May.
