Support SOLA this Christmas!

Hi everyone it’s Nicola here! It’s been a while since I last wrote a blog post as I’ve been busy mentoring. I’ve been working alongside Karen to deliver a series of workshops around online promotion for local artists. I’ve really enjoyed it and it’s great to see the difference it’s made to the students. But now the festive season is here so why not do your bit for charity this Christmas? At SOLA we’re raising funds in a variety of ways so everyone can get involved…

Firstly we’ve set up our very own page on RedBubble featuring art from SOLA’s volunteers, staff and participants. You can choose your favourite and have it printed on a range of products including mugs, tshirts, phonecases, notepads or even just as a sticker or print. An idea for a unique Christmas present.

If you’re an artist yourself and would like to donate a piece of your art to support SOLA’s fundraiser then we’d love to hear from you. You will receive full accreditation and all of the money made from sales is donated to SOLA. Contact me (nicola@solaarts.org) for more information.

Secondly we are now listed on Give As You Live, so when you shop online SOLA will receive a small percentage of what you spend as a donation. Simply sign up, select SOLA as your chosen charity and start shopping! There’s a massive range of online and high street shops to choose from.

If neither of these take your fancy then you can still donate to SOLA on Wonderful.org. This is our rolling fundraising page and we’ve set a target to raise £50,000 by mid 2019. Thanks to everyone who’s donated so far!

We’re a small arts charity so every penny counts. All of the money raised from these fundraisers will enable us to continue our vital work with refugees and people living with mental health difficulties in Merseyside. It will also help us to fund our team and provide a safe and comfortable space for our participants to express themselves in using art.
